Amber Maya Jewelry

Inspired by the punk rock aesthetics of her youth and the romanticism of mythologies, Amber Maya’s designs blend natural and industrial elements to create bold, distinct pieces perfect for everyday wear or a night out.

Amber views jewelry as an intimate expression of self, evoking memories and emotions when worn. Each piece is lovingly crafted using traditional techniques and hand-finished to honor the power of adornment.

About the Artist

Amber grew up on the West Coast of the U.S. and lived primarily in Oakland, California. Her diverse career includes roles as a jeweler, interior decorative painter, bartender, and singer in a band.

In 2011, she moved to Cape Town, South Africa, pursuing a creative career, she enrolled at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology to study Jewelry Design and Manufacturing. After four years, she received her Bachelor of Technology, graduating with the highest honors.

At the beginning of 2024, Amber returned to Northern California.
